At a very young age I already knew that one day I wanted to become a visual artist. Not having the proper tools back then it was difficult to show my passion and ambition. With the upcoming of internet and the accompanying digitalization I finally had the chance to fully experience all the possibilities of the “filmmaking industry”. Following many courses and while also attending classes I drew the attention of a great director Jelle Posthuma because of my knowledge and extreme curiosity and enthusiasm. Being taken under his wings and becoming his apprentice was the best that could have ever happened to me. With his skills, great passion and artistic value I managed to learn each and every inch of directing, editing and post production. His extreme honesty, toughness, dedication and faith in me made me grow and bring focus to both my life and my filmmaking. For 13 years I served the Royal Dutch army where I learned discipline and the ethics of hard work, both traits that till today are an added value for this demanding business. I founded DamianStudios named after my son in February 2017. A company specialised in filming & postproduction of commercials, video's and films. With now over 10 years of professional experience I have learned what makes a great story.  Directors who inspire me: Quentin Tarantino, Michael Bay, Alfred Hitchcock, Clint Eastwood, Spike Lee, Sidney Poitier, Jelle Posthuma, Zhang Yimou, and Jackie Chan.
